Although we are used to working from initial product concepts, our team are often asked to assist with projects at various stages of the development process. We often work with Product Design Agencies to complete the Design For Manufacture element of the process. We can act as the bridge between the CAD element, and the manufacturing process. We find that many product designers have a great knowledge of the manufacturing process, but we are the experts in this region – this is where we can help with design tweaks which will make the product stronger, better aesthetically, mould more efficiently, mould with a greater surface finish, remove the risk of sinking during manufacture etc.
Having knowledge of material processing, and a team of world class materials specialists, we are able to help advise which material will be most appropriate for your products. We are then able to use this information to ensure that tooling is designed with the correct tolerances for the expansion characteristics of whichever material is specified.
